A Windham Hill Retrospective: William Ackerman (1993)

Happy 2013! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday with your families and ringing in the new year together. But now it's time to get back to business. This week I'll be covering the Will Ackerman album: "A Windham Hill Retrospective: William Ackerman" from 1993.

This is pretty much a "greatest hits" album if you will. Many of the artists under this label had their own "Windham Hill Retrospective" release, including those of Montreux, Mark Isham, and Alex de Grassi to name a few. This one in particular, however features many of Ackerman's earlier hits (15 tracks to be exact) and it's worth buying if you don't have, never had, and/or can't afford all of his records that were released earlier than this one. It makes it easier on one's music collection, in my opinion. Just check out this site if you wish to read the overview.
